World Book Day
CECB classes and students celebrating World Book Day!
Student Leaders Election Day
Each year the students choose the best groups to represent their section of CECB. The groups deliver their initial speech, then campaign, and hold elections during snack and lunch breaks. At the end of the week each student demonstrates being part of the school democracy and votes for their choice of which student group to lead them. A circle time assembly announces the outcome for the whole school to celebrate their new leaders.
Art Day
This years art day theme is "Creating Art Together". Students in grades PreK through 7th grade learn fine art skills and have a day in June to showcase their work and projects throughout the semester. The students in grades 8 through 11 learn multimedia art & design and can apply their fine art techniques into the digital world. Each year the community is invited in to see the art gallery.
Annexation of Nicoya Celebrations
Students create an acto cívico each year to celebrate the Annexation of Nicoya and Guanacaste. Many classes dance, perform, recite the stories for historical recollection, and add some comedic flare with "Bombas" sayings.
PE Track & Field
Each year, selected students with dedication and the fastest times complete in our area in a variety of physical education events. The students have been training hard and were able take home some memorable experiences along with 1st Place!

Español Spelling Bee
The Español teachers created a new student centered language day of sorts with games, friendly competition between the classes, and a spelling bee.
PE Volleyball
Each year, selected students join teams to play volleyball in a competition with area schools. One team made it all the way to the semi-finals.

Children's Day
The annual Children's Day theme this year was Lilo & Stich or Hawaiian. All CECB students get to take a day to be honored for our future generations and celebrate in a way that is unique for both students and staff.

Independence Day Celebrations start with the CECB community gathering and running the torch through a community route to represent the freedoms of Costa Rica's Independence from Spain. Each grade creates their own unique dance or reenactments that represent the different areas of the country. This day is one of the most important days to celebrate the freedoms of Costa Rican's through a multicultural gathering and is always one of the best days of the school year to take part in.
Culture Day
The CECB International School has an annual collaboration event with the school community and each grade level to celebrate the cultures around the world. This year was an integration of not only different cultures by country but also different time periods and indigenous roots. It is always a wonderful event to remember our world is much larger and should be celebrated.
